We are the Cleveland State University Association of Computing Machinery.

What personal data we collect and why we collect it

WordPress likes to collect your data. We don’t. So while your data is probably being stored on some wordpress server somewhere and being sold to the highest bidder, we frankly couldn’t care less about your data. We, as the Cleveland State ACM do not intentionally collect any of your data from this site.

That being send, please note that any comments or media you upload to this site are stored by us. We don’t do anything with that data, except admire the beautiful message you crafted for us, nor do we have any plans to sell it to the highest bidder. Just be aware that anything you intentionally upload we have access to and can see.

Who we share your data with

In most cases, nobody. Unless you upload a funny comment, then we might share it with our friends. But your IP address and private information is safe with us.

How long we retain your data

If you leave a comment, the comment and its metadata are retained indefinitely, because that’s how the internet works.

What rights you have over your data

You have the right to delete any of your personal comments and data from our site at any time. You also have the right to request that your data is expunged from the website.

Where we send your data

Visitor comments may be checked through an automated spam detection service. We have no control over what happens when your comments are checked. Just, please, don’t spam us.

How we protect your data

Our team of students of computer science students have years of experience being told how to craft strong passwords to our accounts, so that we may better protect your data.

As a member of the educational industry, we are not allowed to tell your parent’s your grades. So please don’t post your grades on here.
