About Us

Who We Are

We are a friendly group of computer science and computer engineering students who place an emphasis on community and learning.

We believe that no education experience is complete without the development of a sense of a community, and we strive to foster a sense of community among our members.

Our primary goal as an organization is to help our members land a job one of the many existing technology fields, as well as to help them have fun while doing so.

What We Do

When the world isn’t experiencing its worst public health crisis in a century, we meet bi-weekly in Fenn Hall to discuss various interesting topics about computer science and computing engineering. A staple of our events are home grown presentations, with our members giving talks about topics that they are knowledgeable about and interest them. Each presentation gives the speaker an opportunity to hone their presentation skills (a valuable soft skill which prepares them for the workforce) and the audience the opportunity to learn from one of their peers.

We also coordinate transportation to and sponsor our members to attend local hackathons and other technology events. As a club, we believe that the best way to learn is by doing, and there is no better way to hone the skills that are taught in class than through a hackathon.

Additionally, we work with our members to help them gain connections all throughout the technology world. By joining ACM, our members gain access to a treasure trove of connections with industry professionals, their professors, and their own peers.
